VW Auto Cloud

At Volkswagen’s Azure-based connected car startup, I assembled and led a special projects team of eight engineers spanning backend, mobile, and cloud disciplines.

Our team’s charter was to accelerate innovation and prove out new ideas quickly. I architected a stack dependent on the core auto cloud to handle live vehicle telemetry using microservices and Cosmos DB, ensuring scalability and reliability under real-world load. This backend was consumed by a Kotlin-based Android diagnostics app that I designed and developed with the team, which was later demonstrated to VW’s global leadership as a showcase of the platform’s capabilities.

To strengthen collaboration, I also launched and organized monthly company-wide demo sessions, helping teams align around shared milestones and celebrate progress across the organization.
